Team building is said to have benefits of self-development, positive communication, leadership skills and the ability to work closely together as a team to solve problems.
Team building can also be seen in day-to-day operations of an organization. This dynamic can be improved through successful leadership. Work environments tend to focus on individuals and personal goals, with reward and recognition singling out the achievements of individual employees. Team building shifts the focus on the entire group, recognizing that the group’s synergy is much more effective than an individual’s performance in the overall success of a company.
Treks and Tracks takes an outdoor approach to Team Building. Our philosophy is that the outdoors stimulates awareness and a sense of adventure. Participants are more likely to interact and communicate with each other in a completely different way than they do on a day to day basis. Common communication barriers can be overcome by changing the roles of participants. For example a co-worker may belay their boss while rock climbing. Both participants will find communication essential realizing that each is completely dependent on the other.
Our range of services includes:
Rock climbing events- Always scaled to your groups abilities. On this day your guides will set up rock climbs in the outdoors. Participants scale up the wall building their confidence, while being belayed (the act of managing the climber’s rope) by a teammate strengthening trust and communication.
Rappelling day- Participants step over the edge and lower themselves under their own power off a sheer cliff. The setting is incredible right next to a waterfall.
Group hikes in various locations- Let a guide take you on a hike in nature. Participants experience each other’s company in the outdoors allowing them to get to know each other on a much personal level.
Whether you are looking to strengthen communication, camaraderie or just have fun for the day, Treks and Tracks creates the perfect day to fit your needs.
