Our Avalanche clinic is ideal for back country skiers, snowboarders and mountaineers.
In this course you will learn about the signs that point to avalanche hazards. We look at terrain, weather factors, and other signs that help us analyze what the risk factor of a particular slope is.
We will cover and practice avalanche rescue using beacon, probe and shovel.
You will learn about:

  • Risks associated with skiing out of bounds
  • Planning your out of bounds skiing
  • Identifying avalanche terrain
