Join us on our Point Reyes Backpacking trip and experience the best Bay Area backpacking trip there is!

This overnight backpacking excursion takes place on one of the most stunning seashores in California. Our trail takes us through coastal forests, by lakes and offers up expansive views of the Pacific Ocean. Wildlife is abundant in this protected area, and views of migrating whales are common. We make our camp in one of the most remote areas of the National Seashore where we enjoy incredible views and a backcountry meal.

No experience is necessary on our Backpacking Point Reyes trip - just a moderate level of physical fitness and an enthusiasm to learn about and experience overnight backpacking.  We provide backpacking gear such as backpacks, sleeping bags and pads, tents, cooking systems and dinner / breakfast.  Vegetarian and gluten-free options available.  Throughout our trip we cover essential backpacker know-hows, such as:

  •  Leave No Trace Principles
  •  Gear required for multi-day back country travel
  •  How to use tents and stoves
  •  Backpack packing strategy
  •  Local wild edibles and other flora and fauna
  •  and much more
Pt. Reyes National Seashore is accessible for all of the Bay Area - located just an hour north of San Francisco.  Backpacking Point Reyes can be the perfect weekend adventure.
