Join us for an unforgettable backpacking trip along the remote California Coastal Trail in Humboldt County. This four-day, three-night trip covers 25 miles of black sand beaches and golden meadows. We meet at the trailhead by the Mattole river mouth and once the group is packed, briefed and ready, we set off down the beach.
Along the way, we set up camps by crystal clear creeks draining into the pacific and utilize old driftwood shelters to help protect our tents. Observe sea life and marine mammals in their natural environment. Besides several off-the-grid homesteads, this section of coast is as it was hundreds of years ago.
Join us and experience this pristine piece of California!
