Join us for the adventure of a lifetime - reach the summit of Half Dome on this three-day, two-night through-hike from Tuolumne Meadows to Yosemite Valley. Experience the Beauty and adventure that make this one of America's best stretches of wilderness. See for yourself why Half Dome is one of the most photographed natural wonders in the world.

 

This adventure includes permits for an optional hike to the top of Half Dome. We start in Yosemite National Park's high country, Yuolumne Meadows, hike over the top of Cloud's Rest (9,926') and summit Half Dome (8,845') before winding our way down to Yosemite Valley. This trip covers 24 miles of Yosemite's most amazing terrain and is lead by Treks and Tracks' experienced, Wilderness First-Aid certified guides.

 

THIS HIKE IS STRENUOUS AND REQUIRES GOOD PHYSICAL FITNESS!

 

ITINERARY HALFDOME VIA TUOLUMNE MEADOWS

 

Day 1:  After meeting at the Curry Village Mountain Shop parking lot at 7:30 am where we leave our vehicles we take the free shuttle to Tuolumne Meadows. From Tenaya Lake we hike to our first nights camp at Sunrise Lakes. (4 miles)

 

Day 2:  Today we hike over Cloud's Rest taking in incredible vistas of Tuolumne Meadows. We have lunch on the summit and then hike down to Sunrise Creek where we make camp. (7.5 miles)

 

Day 3: On this action packed day we have a hearty breakfast and get up early. We stash our pack on the trail and take only our essential items as we take a side tour to the summit of Half Dome. We climb the famous cables to the top of the mountain. On the summit we can take pics have lunch and relish for a moment in our huge accomplishment. After descending the mountain we pick up our packs and make our way all the way to Yosemite Valley where we get to the cars around 4 pm. (12 miles)

 

ITINERARY HALFDOME VIA GLACIERPOINT

 

Day 1: After taking the morning shuttle (approx. 1.5 hours) to Glacier Point we get our packs ready and head down the train. Our hike begins past Illilouette Falls then veers onto the Panorama Trail. We continue over the top of Nevada Falls and into Little Yosemite Valley where we set up our basecamp for the next 2 nights (6.5 miles).

 

Day 2: Today is an action packed day. We leave our heavy packs at camp and only take the essentials for our summit hike to the top of Half Dome (8,836’) via the famous cables. The summit is spectacular and is an achievement in itself. After taking the important summit pics and eating our lunch we return to Little Yosemite Valley (7 miles).

 

Day 3: Today we pack up our camp in Little Yosemite Valley and hike out via the spectacular Mist Trail. We pass two major waterfalls on our way back down to Yosemite Valley and back to our vehicles (4.5 miles).
