ABOUT BACKPACKING OJAI

Untitled document

Experience the majestic beauty of backpacking in Ojai!

Join us for an incredible weekend of backpacking in Southern California. On this overnight trip we meanders through dense groves of oak and bay trees then on to grassland plains.  We enjoy wide valley views and the scenic creek with refreshing, warm water swimming holes.

No experience is necessary on our Backpacking Ojai trip - just a moderate level of physical fitness and an enthusiasm to learn about and experience overnight backpacking.  We provide backpacking gear such as backpacks, sleeping bags and pads, tents, cooking systems and dinner / breakfast.  Vegetarian and gluten-free options available.  Throughout our trip we cover essential backpacker know-hows, such as:

  • Navigation and trip planning in the backcountry
  • Wilderness safety protocols
  • Leave no trace principals
  • Backcountry cooking techniques
  • This trip is designed for beginning to intermediate backpackers in good physical condition.

Space is limited so book your Backpacking Ojai spot now!
